The Head, or Floor

The circular symbol in the upper left corner of every folio is called the Head. Just as there are Five Elements to each Folio, so, too, are there five different Heads. The Head functions almost as a chapter heading, indicating in what general area of the Synaptic Mytharchy a particular Folio exists. In the Reference Labyrinth each Head corresponds to a level, or Floor, of the Memory Palace. The Five Heads are as follows:
